Winter
Short, chilly days and long, dark nights characterize our winters but that doesn’t mean we stay inside by the wood stove. We get the heaters going in the barn and fire up the hot chocolate to keep us going. In December we celebrate the holidays by sharing good cheer and cutting winter greens and Christmas trees. Come January and February we get ready to tap our Big Leaf Maple trees to collect the sweet sap and hold our fungi forays. In early March we dream of the garden’s bounty so seed and starts become our focus.
